We must be notified of any damage to the vehicle, even minor damage, within 24 hours.
Once LeasePlan has received the incident file, we will provide you with details of our approved panel beaters. We will provide you with a free replacement Category B vehicle for as long as it takes to repair your vehicle.
As for insurance*, all drivers are insured as long as they hold a valid driving licence and they comply with the provisions of the highway code.

For any accident or vehicle failure in Europe, always call our breakdown service (24/7) on (+352) 40 71 40. You should also call that number in the event of fire, theft, vandalism or a flat tyre.
If your car will not start and cannot be repaired on site, you will be provided with a replacement vehicle. You will be able to use the replacement vehicle for a maximum of 5 days. After that time, LeasePlan will provide you with a vehicle from its short-term fleet. Where one of preferred suppliers is carrying out panel-beating work to your vehicle, LeasePlan will provide you with a category B replacement car at no cost.
LeasePlan will refund any costs that you have met up to the limit specified in your agreement under assistance. If, however, you use a different breakdown service, any costs you incur will not be reimbursed.
A stone in the windscreen, an attempted break-in... Our approved suppliers will swiftly carry out repairs or replace your windscreen.
Call our FIRST team at 40 44 11 11, which will indicate you the most suitable service provider for the repair. Most of them offer a free pick-up service and/or will come to your place of work to repair/replace your windscreen.
The simplest thing would, of course, be to avoid dealing with any issues that might arise. But there are vast numbers of narrow roads in the world and you may be unlucky. The good news is that, at LeasePlan, we are specialists in claims management and we will help you to get back on the road as quickly as possible.
In the event that your car is stolen or your car is damaged following attempted theft or break-in, you should file a report with the local authorities and notify the theft to LeasePlan within 24 hours. In these circumstances, send us a detailed statement of the facts with your details, the report number and the date of the incident.
If the car was stolen while you were abroad, you should also report the incident to the Police when you return.
