5 Infiniti Q30s for 5 LeasePlan drivers: a world first
On 27 November, the spotlight was on the Infiniti with the delivery of the first 10 Q30s in Luxembourg and, for that matter, the world. The keys were handed over at the Infiniti By Lentz dealership in Alzingen, where LeasePlan delivered 5 leasing vehicles to PwC. ALD also received 5 vehicles to add to its short-term rental fleet.
LeasePlan is very proud to have delivered the very first Infiniti Q30s: 5 vehicles for a long-standing customer and for 5 delighted drivers. An excellent relationship with the dealership gave LeasePlan a competitive edge by allowing it to offer a different model of car. LeasePlan believes in this type of product and sees a place for it in the fleet sector. “This vehicle offers the chance to get off the beaten track and allows us to meet the expectations of customers who want something more than the traditional makes that we are used to seeing on the leasing market. Service diversification is a future challenge for fleet management” said Raphaël Liblanc, Account Manager at LeasePlan.
The Infiniti Q30 was launched in September at the Frankfurt Motor Show 2015 and is muscling in on the premium compact sector. The Q30 is faithful to the concept car demonstrated 2 years earlier, combining coupé-like contours with a high driving position. Infiniti has shown its willingness to be bold and ambitious and is targeting Premium customers who wish to express their personalities. As a “luxury premium” car, it is going to take on the competition from above and has cars as well established as the Audi A3, BMW 1 Series and the Mercedes C Class within its sights. The challenge is evidently considerable in a sector that is already overcrowded and competitive.
Infiniti is relying heavily on the Q30 to succeed in its worldwide growth strategy. “This new model has been developed to deliver a driving experience that is unmistakably Infiniti. Q30 will accelerate the company’s strategy to become a leading global manufacturer of premium cars” said Roland Krueger, Chairman of Infiniti. Infiniti sold 154,600 vehicles worldwide in the first 9 months of this year, a year-on-year increase of 16%.
