About LeasePlan

Socially responsible

More and more companies consider successful business not only being the result of profit optimisation, but also requiring for a responsible behaviour in their relationship with the other economic actors, with the environment and with the society.

Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) bases on a voluntary approach and corresponds to the implementation of the principles of sustainable development at company level. For companies, this means they must integrate their social, environmental and economic concerns into their daily business and into their relationships with third-party actors.

Numerous companies have acknowledged their social responsibility by implementing procedures inside their respective structures and their business organisation. By doing so, a company imposes itself a social and environmental mission. It respects all its “partners”, i.e. the workforce, the customers, the suppliers, the shareholders, the population and the habitants of the whole planet.

…And in the leasing business ?

In the automobile leasing business, CO2 emissions and their impact on global warming are among the most predominant topics of concern. Therefore, LeasePlan has launched the GreenPlan initiative in 2007. It features a number of measures aiming to help our customers reduce their CO2 emissions, notably through a more responsible choice of vehicles, through fuel consumption limits or through adopting an appropriate driving attitude...

But there are other charity, environmental and economic initiatives LeasePlan has implemented at local level aiming at reinforcing its CSR attitude.

Commitment in IMS and INDR

LeasePlan is a member of the Luxembourg institute for Corporate Governance IMS (“Institut pour le Mouvement Sociétal”), which is a platform for the sharing of experiences in relation to social responsibility. More info on IMS website.

LeasePlan also contributes to the project for the establishment of an RSE label (Corporate Social responsibility) launched by the National Institute for Sustainable Development and Social responsibility INDR.
