Intermediate checks of your vehicles
A change of driver of a fleet car is forecast while the leasing contract is still running? In that case, we advise you to proceed to an intermediate check of the car in view of an assessment or a repairing of eventual damages.
LeasePlan now offers you an easy solution through its “intermediate checks” in accordance with the Renta norm. You simply fix a check date with us by filling in the form in the “contact us” section.
Two types of checks are provided:
Standard intermediate check for 60 € ex. VAT
This applies to the case of a planned change of driver and the need for a car check before delivery to the new driver.
During this check, the following data are recorded: date and location of the check, mileage accomplished and all eventual damages and /or malfunctions of the car. Major damages are photographed and are subject of an accident declaration by the driver.
No repairing work is required and the car is immediately returned to the driver.
The check report as well as all related documents (photographs, accident declaration…) are being forwarded to the respective fleet manager. A lump sum of 60 € will be billed to the customer for each standard intermediate check.
Intermediate check for 160 € ex. VAT in view of repair
A driver change is planned, requiring for a check in view of repairing intervention before delivery to the new driver.
The vehicle is returned temporarily to LeasePlan for a check and repair works. The following data are recorded to that respect: date and location of check, mileage achieved as well as all registered damages and/or malfunctions of the vehicle. Major damages are photographed and are subject to an accident declaration by the driver. Items to be fixed are listed.
The following documents are to be produced:
- vehicle registration (grey card)
- service manual
- radio code
- navigation CD
- insurance card
- tax sticker
- reserve keys
- fuel card and secret code
Check report and all related documents (photographs, accident declaration, repair list) are
forwarded to the respective fleet manager. A lump sum of 160 € is billed to the customer for
each intermediate check assessing items that need instant repair. This sum only covers the
check and the related report and does not include subsequent repairing costs or tyre changes
etc…)
